Dr M. Tshabalala-Msimang, Health Minister of South Africa, visited the mission at Kwasizabantu near Durban.
She was introduced to the large crowd gathered in the auditorium by Dr Albertinath Luthuli, M.D., member of the Parliament and friend of Dr Bertrand, the president of our NGO. Dr Luthuli is the daughter of Mr Albert Luthuli who was the 1st African to ever receive the Peace Nobel Prize (1960).
The Health Minister talked about the health issues in the country and more specifically about Aids. Then, she visited the mission and said she was very impressed by the quality of the work we do among the orphans. She encouraged us warmly to persevere.
